Booking Terms & Conditions – The View
1. General Terms
- These terms and conditions apply to all event bookings and ticket purchases made at The View, including events hosted by third-party organisers.
- By making a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
- The View reserves the right to modify these terms at any time, with updates posted on our website or communicated directly.
2. Booking & Payment
- A deposit of may be required to secure a booking for some events. In all cases full payment must be completed before the event date.
- All prices quoted are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- Online booking payments must be made by credit/debit card or other electronic payment methods offered at the time of checkout.
- Failure to pay either the deposit or full ticket fees within 3 days of the event may result in cancellation of the booking.
- Third-party event hosts are responsible for managing ticket sales and attendee fees unless agreed otherwise in writing.
- Social Member Discounts:
i. Social member discounts are only offered for certain events.
ii. Events hosted by third parties are not subject to member discounts unless stated.
iii. Bookings made under a membership will be checked for validity. If a booking is found to have been made without a valid membership in place the tickets will be cancelled and refunded less a processing fee of £3 per ticket.
3. Cancellation & Refunds
- Cancellation requests are subject to the following refund conditions:
- We offer an optional insurance fee against cancellations. Refund requests under the policy will be honoured in full. If you do not select the insurance option then the following cancellation terms apply:
- More than 7 days before the event: Full refund minus processing fee of £3 per ticket.
- Between 6 and 3 days before the event: 50% refund of total booking fee.
- Less than 2 days before the event: No refund available.
4. Venue Rules & Usage
- Clients and third-party hosts must comply with all venue policies, health & safety regulations, and legal requirements.
- The venue must be left in its original condition; additional charges may apply for cleaning or repairs.
- No unauthorised alcohol, catering, or external vendors are permitted unless approved in advance.
- Noise levels must be managed in accordance with our premises license.
- Any damages caused to the venue or equipment must be reported immediately and may incur repair costs.
5. Third-Party Event Hosting
- External event organisers must provide full event details, including expected attendance, duration, insurance policies and special requests.
- Third-party hosts are responsible for guest management, ticketing, and legal compliance.
- The View reserves the right to decline events that do not align with venue policies.
- The venue is not liable for disputes between third-party organisers and attendees.
6. Liability & Insurance
- The View is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.
- The venue is not liable for injuries, accidents, or unforeseen circumstances, except where legally required.
- Third-party event hosts must provide evidence of liability insurance.
7. Force Majeure
- If an event cannot proceed due to circumstances out of our control the booking may be rescheduled or refunded as per our refund/cancellation terms
(Section 3).
8. Dispute Resolution
- Disputes related to bookings, payments, or events shall be resolved amicably. If necessary, legal action will be taken under English Law.
